i am a new listner and am really enjoying you guys. i jump between you and the god jounney. were you suggesting that eveloutiion could be possible? and if so what we do about gen.1 ? the other thing i would love to be able to get one of those t-shirts that tim is wearing on the pod cast pic's.

from kyle: not exactly. But if we rigidly assume it CAN'T be possible, we lose our ability to discuss the topic objectively. Personally, I believe in the Genesis account of creation, BUT what if, at the end of your life, you discovered that God actually had used evolution in his creation process, and that Gen.1 was intended as poetry, not historical fact? Such a premise may be difficult to embrace, even hypothetically, but would it really destroy your faith in God? If so, then I'd suggest your faith is misplaced (trusting in your own understanding, rather than in God himself). If not, why make such a big deal out of creation apologetics? Just thinking out loud...you can get Tim's T-shirt at www.kingdomcitizenship.org ~blessings, kyle

Hi Kyle & Tim,

Enjoying your conversations about bias. My query relates to your comment about the mistranslation of First Corinthians regarding women where Paul is responding to a quote. Is there an online reference that you can point me to to follow this up?

Many thanks,
Ian

from kyle: Here are a couple online articles you might start with: www.godswordtowomen.org/Preato2.htm ... www.geocities.com/about_biblical_equality ... http://strivetoenter.com/wim ... www.intervarsity.org/mx/item/4175/ ... ALSO, Dr. Ann Nyland has excellent documentation in the footnotes of "the Source", available from Amazon.com, or download from smithandstirling.com Thanks for listening! ~kyle
