Details: 2008-02-18 Marv & Jodi Root: Seeking Spiritual Life Beyond Traditional Church Today's guests are Marv & Jodi Root of Waseca Minnesota. In this episode Marv and Jodi share about their background in a conservative denomination, and how their desire for deeper spiritual life has led them on a journey away from the familiar boundaries of traditional religion. Like many of us who've moved "outside the box", Marv & Jodi have experienced isolation, rejection, self-doubt, and the pain of being misunderstood by those who were once close to them. Yet they have also found joy, comfort, and affirmation from the One who leads them and walks with them along the way. Its funny looking back and realizing that we live in a free country where there is freedom of speech and thought except in the "CHURCH". I really appreciate Mary and Jodis' story.I see a lot of similarties in my story. | |
